PNBAA is grateful for your event participation both as a prospective attendee and sponsor. Please consider when making your plans that: 

  • All sales are final (no refunds) and must be completed prior to the event to participate
  • Invoices are respectfully due upon receipt
  • Pictures are taken at PNBAA activities. They may be publicly used in the newsletter, website or other medium for the benefit of this organization.
  • PNBAA may choose to share an event attendee list with paid event sponsors to facilitate mutual networking opportunities. That attendee list is limited to Name and Organization (i.e. name tag) only. NO ATTENDEE CONTACT INFORMATION will be shared, it remains private to PNBAA.
  • Participation is open to such individuals, corporations, businesses, or organizations with an interest in or relationship with the aviation community.

    Overview


    All business aviation professionals are invited to attend PNBAA's 11th Safety & Security Day. We encourage early registration in anticipation of a sold out event.

    Plan on hearing industry recognized speakers presenting topics broadly related to the theme of Fighting Flight Complacency. The topics will be educational and relevant to this diverse audience. There will be plenty of opportunities to socialize from breakfast, breaks, luncheon and a hosted reception social hour. There will also be time for each registrant to learn how to fight an inflight cabin fire with educational and hands on training provided by Aircare FACTS Training.

    Speaker Bios

    Doug Carr, Senior VP - Safety, Security, Sustainability & International Operations
    National Business Aviation Association

    Douglas “Doug” Carr is NBAA’s senior vice president of safety, security, sustainability and international operations. In this position, he is responsible for leading the association’s broad regulatory and policy agenda affecting business aviation safety, security, sustainability and aircraft operations in the United States and around the globe. He also is the staff liaison for NBAA’s Security Council.

    In April 1998, Carr joined the NBAA staff as manager of domestic operations. He subsequently was promoted to manager of safety and operations, director of government affairs and vice president of regulatory and international affairs. In these positions, he monitored and responded to domestic and international regulatory and legislative initiatives by Congress, FAA, TSA, CBP and other government agencies. He also provided operational-related assistance for commercial and non-commercial aircraft operators.

    While at NBAA, Carr has led or participated in several landmark aviation rule making and policy efforts, including the FAA’s Fractional Ownership Aviation Rule-making Committee (FOARC), the FAA’s Part 125/135 ARC Flight and Rest Subcommittee, the Takeoff and Landing Performance Assessment (TALPA) ARC, TSA’s Large Aircraft Security Program (LASP) proposal, establishment of CBP’s business aviation pre-clearance program in Shannon, Ireland and updates to ICAO protocols for business aircraft, among others.

    Internationally, Carr represents business aviation interests at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and has assisted with several rule making and policy efforts at the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). He serves as the corporate secretary for the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).

    Carr is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation management and an Associate of Science degree in aviation flight. Prior to his college years, he spent six years in the U.S. Navy. As part of his military duties, he worked onboard a nuclear-powered submarine where he was responsible for many aspects of the submarine propulsion system, including the operation, maintenance and repair of the nuclear reactor and support systems.


    Matt Clark, Managing Director

    Matt Clark has broad experience managing risk for corporate clients in diverse sectors domestically and abroad. He oversees all aspects of enterprise security to protect employees, safeguard intellectual property, and minimize corporate liability.

    Matt currently supervises security operations internally for RosettiStarr’s global investigations practice and externally for a multinational corporation. He develops and implements security standards worldwide. Previously, Matt managed security for a regional bank, including physical security for branches, operations centers, and the corporate headquarters. Additionally, he has successfully led complex investigations relating to financial fraud, intellectual property theft, and white-collar criminal prosecutions. He maintains a network of security vendors and investigators in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America to support his client’s objectives.

    Dennis Fox, Vice President, Safety
    Executive Jet Management

    Dennis is responsible for EJM's Safety Management System and Emergency Response Plan programs, aviation and physical security, and aircraft vendor standards. This dedicated role enhances EJM's uncompromising safety culture and puts a focus on all aspects of safety and security equally throughout EJM's organization.

    Dennis holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and is a combat veteran, having served our country for 15 years in the U.S. Army Aviation Branch as an aeroscout and attack helicopter pilot, commander, and trainer. With commercial instrument multi-engine fixed-wing and commercial instrument helicopter ratings, Dennis is currently on the National Air Transportation Association’s board of directors.

Registration is available for singles and foursomes. Participation is catered to golfers and non-golfers alike. The best ball format ensures all abilities have opportunities to help the team and enjoy their time on the course.

      Tournament Rules Highlights

      • Four person, best ball scramble
      • Men will tee off from the Standard (White) tees regardless of handicap
      • Women will tee off from the Ladies (Green) tees
      • There will be a longest drive and closest to the pin prize for both men and women on the designated holes. The winners are each awarded a prize at the luncheon.
      • Hole-In-One Contest - There will be a Hole-In-One contest for all golfers. The golfer who makes a hole-in-one at the designated Par 3 will receive a special, high value prize. Additional prizes will be given for any hole-in-one made on one of the other Par 3 holes.
      • Mulligan - Each golfer will have an opportunity to purchase one mulligan ($10.00) via the Golf Genius app which can be used for any shot, EXCEPT contest shots (i.e. long drive, closest to the pin, hole-in-one).
      • Cheat-for-Charity - All participants will be given an opportunity to purchase a Cheat-for-Charity at designated holes for $20.00 per team. It allows the foursome to proceed to the 150 yard marker to take their first shot.
      • This year the two-putt rule will be reinstated.


      Raffle Prizes

      Purchase raffle tickets for prizes given away at the end of the 19th Hole Happy Hour: One ticket = $5 or five tickets = $20. Trade a little money and potentially win prizes worth hundreds!
