Tarxan Flores GodinezPortland Community College – 2024 Elevate PNW Scholarship ($20,000) Tarxan is enrolled in the AMT (Aviation Maintenance Technician) program at Portland Community College and pursuing his ligelong dream of working in aviation. He is grateful for his opportunity the PNBAA has provided and vows to provide similar opportunities to apire AMT's for years to come. |
Amelia VaithEmbry-Riddle Aeronautical University– 2024 Career Catalyst Scholarship ($5,000) Amelia Vaith is a senior at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) graduating with aBachelors in Aeronautical Science this December. She has an extensive list of involvement in on-campus organizations including her role as President of the Women in Aviation ERAU Chapter, member of the Alpha Omicron Alpha Aeronautical Honors Society, employment as an Undergraduate Assistant in the College of Aviation and Resident Advisor in the Housing Department. Additionally, she has a dedication to her academics as a student in the ERAU Honors Program. She is currently pursuing her commercial multi-engine add-on at ERAU, while also working as flight instructor in the Daytona Beach area. During the previous summer months, Amelia worked as a flight instructor at Galvin Flying on Boeing Field in Seattle, WA where she is from. After graduating, she plans to return to Seattle to continue flying as a CFI to build experience, ultimately preparing her for a future professional role in the business aviation industry. Amelia strives to assume a leadership position later in her career, such as a Chief Pilot. In her free time, Amelia enjoys playing pickleball and is always eager to learn something new. |

Noble GahimerHillsboro Aviation - Horizon Air – 2021 Airport Workers ScholarshipNoble was a line service tech at Hillsboro Aviation until he won the PNBAA scholarship and used the funds to pursue his dispatching license. He is now a dispatcher for Horizon Air. |
