PNBAA Charity Golf Tournament Update

Wednesday, September 20, 2017

The Golf Club at Newcastle

A few Pro tips from the Golf Committee led by Cindy Hales:

  • Golfer Wait List - Patience is this game. Historically we learn of most registered golfer cancellations several days before tournament. Golfers, keep us apprised if you have a conflict and wish to donate your spot to PNBAA.
  • Cash - Golfers, bring $5 and $20 bills for a mulligan, a record number of raffle prizes, etc. An ATM is in the Clubhouse.
  • Arrival Plan - Between 7:00 - 8:30 am there will be a lot of activities including:  registration, breakfast, Nike Store shopping, a putting contest, thank a sponsor, rile competitors and visit the driving range - whew.
  • Volunteer - An engaging way to socialize and make this a better event, plus enjoy a free lunch.
  • Luncheon tickets - Register online for just $50. Stroll in at your leisure starting with the 19th hole.

August Call to Action!

Have you joined the hundreds of Pacific Northwest business aviation professionals in sharing your opposition to the Congressional Houses' ATC "Privatization" proposal?

Last week PNBAA President Jeff Robertsshared an insightful request for individuals in the business aviation community to weigh in opposing H.R. 2997. Individual voter voices carry tremendous influence. Please contact your Congressional representatives now during this August recess. Utilize the linked resources on the PNBAA website home page. Next encourage your peers to be an active participant.

Red-Tailed Hawks Donation

Proceeds from PNBAA membership dues and sponsored events are dedicated to aviation-related youth and member vocational scholarships - our future.

The PNBAA Board was recently introduced to the Red-Tailed Hawks Flying Club (RTH) of Mukilteo, Washington which matches our youth interests. RTH is chartered by the Black Pilots of America, Inc. non-profit. The mission is to introduce under-served and under-represented youths to the world of aviation while engaging their minds in practical applications of STEM and grounding them in aviation history. RTH offers one-day, two-week and year-round programs.

Led by PNBAA Board member Scott Jefvert, we were honored to present a $1,000 donation and introduce RTH to the business aviation industry at their July and August programs.

Pictured above - Recent graduates who completed a program including private pilot ground school and introductory flying lessons - congratulations Hawks!
