Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, players, and supporters from the 2012 PNBAA 4th Annual Charity Golf Event, we were delighted to donate $10,000 to Seattle’s Aviation High School at the end of 2012 during our Annual Membership Meeting in December. The culmination of this example of paying it forward to the next generation of aviation professionals was just last week at the Senior Awards Ceremony for Aviation High School.
PNBAA’s gift of $10,000 was awarded as scholarships to three deserving students this year, with the top award at $5,000 and the other two at $2,500 each to deserving students Max Wienke, Meghan McPherson, and Emily Kelley.
Max is going to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona to pursue Aerospace Engineering but also wants to go ROTC and be career Air Force where he hopes to fly. Meghan is going to WSU to study Actuarial Science and eventually work in aviation insurance; and Emily is going to Seattle Pacific University to study business, with a plan to eventually work in an aviation business role.
Please join us in congratulating these deserving Aviation High School students and wishing them all the best in their future endeavors. For more information about Seattle’s Aviation High School, please click HERE.
